Community Participation
Getting out and being part of the community you love.
About this service
Community Participation is about being part of the world around you — on your own terms. At Ruhil Care we help you join social, recreational, learning, sporting, cultural and faith activities that match what you care about, with a support worker beside you for as much (or as little) as you need. Every outing is planned around your interests, energy and goals — not a fixed roster of group activities — and every worker is matched to you for personality, language and lived experience wherever possible.
Every plan is shaped around your goals, preferences and routines. Our team works closely with you, your family and your circle of support to make sure the service feels right from day one — and stays that way.

Common questions
What is Community Participation under the NDIS?+
Community Participation is NDIS-funded support that helps you join social, recreational, learning and community activities — building skills, confidence and your social circle outside the home. It is funded under Core Supports — Assistance with Social and Community Participation.
Can I choose the activities?+
Yes — you choose. We plan around your interests, goals, energy and any sensory or cultural needs. Nothing is forced and you can change activities any time.
Is transport included?+
Door-to-door worker support is included. Vehicle running costs (e.g. provider-vehicle kilometres) may be charged separately in line with the NDIS Price Guide, and we explain any cost in writing before the outing.
Can I have the same support worker each time?+
Wherever possible, yes — and we always introduce you to a regular backup worker so leave and sick days don't disrupt your week.
Will I be provided wheelchair or mobility equipment?+
Yes. For participants with moderate or high-level mobility needs, we provide the wheelchair, hoist and mobility equipment required so you can take part in outings comfortably and safely.
Can my family members or friends join the outings?+
Absolutely — family and friends are warmly welcomed. Let us know when planning the activity so we arrange the right group size, transport and accessibility.
Are group activities available, or only 1:1?+
Both. We run small-group outings, skill-building workshops and shared activities as well as fully personalised 1:1 community access — whichever suits you on the day.
Where do you deliver Community Participation supports?+
Across Greater Western Sydney — Penrith, Blacktown, Parramatta, Bella Vista, the Hills District and surrounding suburbs. With advance booking we can also support occasional trips further afield.
