Our disability group homes is for anyone with an impairment and needs constant daily support to become independent. Our services are an aid to them achieving their autonomy and self-dependency.
Our support workers will be available to assist with personal care, medical management, and handling responsibilities such as paying any bills, etc. We also teach practical skills and organise outings alone or with friends.
If you feel unwell, your support worker will be by your side to ensure you get better. A doctor will visit you, and appropriate care will be taken to get you back to normalcy at the earliest. If further medical appointments or treatments are required, your caregiver will be with you to accompany you to these visits.
Absolutely. We encourage maintaining close ties with your family and friends’ circles since it will help you adjust better at our disability group homes. We understand the value of these relationships and would not want to come in the way of your contact. Our visiting hours can be referred for hassle-free meets.
You can bring any of your items to keep in your room to make it your own, safe, and personal space. To keep any items in the common room, you can discuss them with our house manager.
Staying at the disability group homes can foster new friendships and hobbies and allow you time to de-stress and relax while doing things you enjoy. It provides you the choice and control, while receiving the necessary care to live your life independently as much as possible.
The NDIS funding for accommodation includes essential expenditure calculated for 24 hours. That includes accommodation, food, personal care with the overnight stay, and any activities you choose among the ones we offer. Usually, NDIS funds a maximum of 28 days of STA, which can be used flexibly. Please speak to your support coordinator for more details on your funding, as it will depend on your specific needs.
You will need to prove to the NDIS that our accommodation aligns with your goals and will result in your overall growth. You can do this by providing reports on your health and needs from a professional like an occupational therapist or a general assessment of the support you require.
